Project Connect 2026: A One-day Lifeline for People Facing Housing Insecurity
Project Connect is back for a third year. We are building on community impact that has resulted from the collective work of partners, generosity of sponsors, and dedication from providers.
In 2024, Threshold CoC revived Project Connect, a free, one-day event designed to bring people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity together with a wide range of supportive services. The response from our community was immediate. On October 9, 2024, we hosted 58 provider organizations at Baxter Arena and were able to reach 277 individuals facing housing instability.
In 2025, that momentum continued. On October 21, we hosted more than 400 individuals for Project Connect at Baxter Arena.
This year, Project Connect will be held on October 20 at Baxter Arena from 10 am-3 pm. We will once again bring together dozens of local service providers to ensure our neighbors have access to essential resources and supports in one place, at no cost.
What to Expect at Project Connect 2026
During this guided event, volunteers help participants navigate available services and support them in accessing what they need. Services will include:
Healthcare and Wellness Services
Legal Aid
Medicaid and Disability Benefits Application Assistance
Housing and Shelter Resources
Workforce Assistance
Participants do not need an appointment. They simply show up to be connected with a volunteer guide who helps them check off multiple needs in a single visit, reducing barriers and minimizing stress.
Attend Project Connect
If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity, Project Connect is for you. No appointments, no cost, and no wrong door. Just connection to the resources and support you need.
Why This Event Matters
Project Connect is a living example of the Continuum of Care model in action. With dozens of local agencies working together under one roof, it reflects what is possible when our community coordinates around a shared goal: ensuring homelessness is rare, brief, and non-recurring.
“The guest I was able to assist had a lot of needs... applied for Medicaid, got a flu shot, had an intake with legal aid... and more.”
Volunteer at Project Connect
We could not do this without volunteers, and we are still in need of bilingual navigators and American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters. As a volunteer, you can serve as a personal guide for guests navigating the event, helping guests identify and access services most relevant to their needs.
No prior experience is required. Email Taylor Novak if you have questions about our volunteer opportunities.
